Your flyers, delivered by people who live nearby.

DropSpot is a free app for local distribution. Post the job with your area, your flyer count and your dates. Someone in that neighbourhood collects, delivers, and sends you proof — and your money is only released once you approve it.

  • Your payment is held safely and only released when you approve the work
  • Photo and GPS proof of every drop, before you pay a cent
  • You choose who does the job, from people who applied in your area

The whole journey

Post Match Collect Deliver Approve Get paid

Six steps from “we need this out” to “that’s done”

The same six steps every time, so both sides always know exactly where a job stands.

1

Post the job

Set your distribution area on the map, how many flyers, and when the work must happen. Save it as a draft and finish it later if you need to.

2

Nearby people apply

Spotters whose work area covers your streets see the job and apply. They know the pay before they do.

3

Pick your spotter

Compare who applied, check their rating and verification, then choose. Message them in the app to agree on the details.

4

They collect the flyers

Your spotter picks the material up from the address and time window you set, so nothing goes missing in between.

5

The drop gets done

They distribute in your target area and submit proof from the ground — photos and location, not just a promise.

6

You approve, they get paid

Review the proof and approve. Only then is the money released. If something is wrong, you can ask for it to be put right.

One app. Two ways to use it.

Businesses that need their message on the ground, and people in the area who want to earn from real, honest work.

Built so both sides can trust the job

Flyer distribution has a reputation problem: nobody can prove the work was done. DropSpot is built to fix exactly that.

Money held until you approve

Funds are secured when the job starts and released only once you accept the work.

Proof from the ground

Spotters check in on location and submit photos, so you can see the drop really happened.

Verified people

Spotters submit identity documents for review before they can take on paid work.

Everything in one place

Posting, applications, chat, proof and payment all live in the app — no scattered WhatsApp threads.

Real streets, real neighbourhoods

  • Matched to the area, not the country

Spotters set the area they actually work in. Your job is only shown to people who can reach those streets.

  • You decide how wide to go

Pin the centre of your campaign and set the radius. Suburb-tight or town-wide, it is your call.

  • Priced from the real job

The price comes from your flyer count, the area you have chosen and the time you need it in — not a guess over the phone.

Questions, answered

The things businesses and spotters ask us most.

What does DropSpot cost?

The app is free to download for both businesses and spotters. A business pays for the distribution job it posts, and sees that amount before committing. Spotters never pay to find or apply for work.

When is the money actually paid out?

The payment for a job is secured upfront and held until the work is done. The spotter submits proof, the business reviews it, and the money is released on approval. That way the business is not paying for nothing, and the spotter is not working for nothing.

How do I know the flyers were really delivered?

Spotters check in from the job location and submit photo proof through the app. You review that proof before you approve payment, so there is something real to look at rather than only someone’s word.

What if the work isn’t up to standard?

Don’t approve it. You can send it back and ask for it to be put right, and our support team can step in to help settle a dispute if the two of you cannot agree.

Can I cancel a job after posting it?

Yes, while the work has not started yet. Once a spotter has been assigned and is out collecting or delivering, cancelling is limited so that nobody loses out on work they have already begun. Contact support if you are stuck.

Who can sign up as a spotter?

Anyone in South Africa who wants to earn from local distribution work. You create a profile, set the area you can cover, and submit identity documents for verification before taking on paid jobs.

What kind of work can I post?

DropSpot is built for flyer and printed-material distribution — pamphlets, menus, promotional inserts and similar drops into real neighbourhoods.
